This rectangular sculpure with the word "TRUTH" cut into the steel, creates an interesting play beteween the negative space and the shapes of the letters which invites us to reflect upon ransparency, absence, and perception.
Truth the sculpture is a monument to the concept. It cares not where you come from or who your parents were; it does not care to what party you belong... Truth the sculpture will last forever, yet with neglect, it will start to rust.
Truth Inside presents a rectilinear steel form punctuated by the word “TRUTH,” cut directly into its surface. The work employs negative space—areas intentionally removed to create meaning through absence—allowing language to emerge through void rather than mass. From one side, the word reads clearly; from the reverse, it becomes reversed and more difficult to decipher, emphasizing perception and perspective. As Wylde writes, the sculpture is “a monument to the concept,” suggesting truth as both enduring and shaped by how it is encountered.
Rooted in minimal and post-minimal traditions, the sculpture balances engineered precision with philosophical inquiry. Its horizontal structure and industrial material foreground clarity and restraint, inviting viewers to reflect on transparency, interpretation, and the shifting relationship between language, form, and meaning.
